Australian Teachers “Tops” at integrating technology

October 21, 2008

The article at this link reveals the Microsoft Innovative Teachers Award Winners 2008. It also highlights the need to expose our students to the Web 2.0 tools that they commonly use outside of school in an educational context. In fact, the winners of the award this year did just that.  The article states that students who are exposed to ICT in their learning and who are established computer users perform better than those who are limited computer users. The exposure of students to ICT within the various learning disciplines on their curriculum therefore has implications for them that go way beyond improvement of ICT skills. It adds value to their learning and ultimately positively affects their performance.
